Radio call-in?
Join the Green Party Outreach Committee for a workshop that explores and explains why and how Greens can and should use radio call-in shows to make the Green Party presence felt, help spread the word about how Green policies and positions speak more to America’s real needs and ideals than other parties, talk about our candidates and emphasize how helping to grow the Green Party’s voice helps ALL progressives.
On this call we will concentrate on Green pre-Election Day messages and topics to as many radio outlets as possible, including those online, to meet specific objectives we will discuss on the call. We will be giving an assignment for those willing to take it on.
We will go over different kinds of programs, clarifying the objectives of your call, techniques to get your call through, and remembering what to say on each call.
Beyond this general introduction, we will discuss organizing focused Green phone-in campaigns, on an on-going basis, that stick to certain topics and speaking points, and recruit people to become part of that.
We will focus on one or two shows in particular. The skills and messages, however, that we share can be used wherever it best makes sense.
Participation
At times throughout the call and especially at the end we will welcome input of new broadcast venues and ideas of how to make the call in campaigns better and to improve these workshops.
